It was a warm, summer night. The full moon was shining brightly on the trees and the roofs of a small village located nearby a sacred spring. Everyone was sound asleep in their beds, except for one person. A young man around the age of 18 was looking out his bedroom window, enjoying the gentle breeze and the peaceful silence of the woods. He had blonde hair reaching slightly past his shoulders and eyes blue like the summer sky.
The life that he had in the village was quiet and peaceful, his days filled with various chores and nights spent on either sleeping, stargazing or both. It seemed to be perfect, but a certain feeling of unease has been growing in the boys' heart. More and more often he turned his eyes towards the forest that he never saw up close, his soul yearning to taste freedom of the outside world that seemed to be calling him. Suddenly, his ears picked up a sound of rustling leaves and he turned his head to the source, his eyes peering in the darkness. Little did he know, that seemingly innocent sound was the cue for a spiral of events that will change his life forever.
The boy looked around for a few more moments, but seeing nothing he shrugged and decided to go to sleep. As he drifted off, a dark figure appeared on his windowsill. It was you. You looked at him, recognizing the person you saw in the vision your Master showed you. A smirk appeared on your face. "This is going to be so easy..." you thought, getting ready to tear the sleeping figure to shreds, when suddenly he turned and you saw his face in the silver light of the moon. You lowered your hand, staring at him, observing how his blonde hair fell in a mess around his face, how his lips were formed in a gentle, content smile and how his breath was slow and steady. You felt a weird sensation in your stomach, your heart was fluttering in your chest uncontrollably and you could feel your cheeks heat up more the longer your eyes wandered up and down the figure sleeping soundly in front of you.
You shook your head and once again prepared to deal a blow that will kill him, but you hesitated once again. "He doesn't look like a threat... Maybe Master got the wrong person? Hmm..." You turned around, looking over your shoulder once more at the sleeping boy and jumped back in the trees as you decided to make sure that he is indeed the one you're supposed to kill.
You were woken up from your slumber among the treetops by the sound of children’s’ laughter. You peeked out cautiously from your hiding spot and saw a group of five children, running around the meadow. Suddenly, one of them, a boy looking around the age of 12, ran up to the house in which the youth you saw last night slept. He threw a few pebbles at the window and called ‘Link! Hey Link! Wake up!’ You tilted your head to the side, watching curiously. After a moment the window opened and you gasped silently.
The youth from last night looked out the window, yawning and rubbing his eyes. His hair was a mess and his eyes were still clouded with sleepiness, but something in him made your heart race. He looked down and smiled. ‘Morning Nate. Why are you here so early?’ ‘Early? Link, come on! It’s almost noon!’ The boy called Nate frowned. Link jumped, waking up completely. ‘Crap! Ferd is gonna kill me if I don’t show up to help him with Cuccos!’ You giggled softly, that Link guy was adorable! “Wait, what am I doing?!” you thought, shaking your head. You watched as Link ran out his door and between two giant oak trees. The children resumed playing and you had the urge to show yourself to them, ask a few questions, but in the end, you ran among tree branches to follow Link.
You were observing the youth as he went about his day, chasing Cuccos, gathering fruits and vegetables and talking to other villagers. Now and again, he looked in your direction, you were sure though that he didn't see you. The more time you spent following him around, the more you were certain that he was no threat to your Master. At the end of the day, as you were following him back to his house after he finished everything and no one was around, he suddenly stopped and looked straight at you. You froze in place and stopped breathing as you saw and felt his sapphire eyes burn into you. He couldn't know about you… Could he?

One Who Confronts Fear: Ch. 7
Blood and Tears
War was never meant to be desirable. War is terror, pain, chaos, blood, and death. Any notion of glory is something painted with brushes dipped in blood and splattered on a canvas of lives forever cut short and dreams eternally darkened. Only fools and the dementedly evil look to war with eyes made bright by eagerness and longing.

Prologue
I wake up at six in the morning, have breakfast with my massive family, head out to school, have lunch about noon, finish up my last few classes, go home, do my chores, eat supper, and go to bed at nine at night. I follow a strict schedule, this schedule, six days a week. The last day, I get up at seven in the morning, have breakfast with whichever members of my family have bothered to drag themselves out of bed, go to chapel, get home and have lunch, do a few heavier chores, then have the rest of my day free (supper is eaten whenever we feel like it, but we have to make our own); I usually head to bed around nine or ten. Half-Heart: Prologue
That night, a dragon with black eyes had been born.
Five others in Soven knew of its existence. Three of them were stood atop a cliff overlooking the Bluespell Forest. Another was undoubtedly still pacing the floors of his study muttering to some unseen presence, and the fifth was supposedly heading in the direction of the three soldiers poised for the attack above the trees.
Sabre's claws raked at the rocky ground beneath them impatiently. The orange-scaled dragon looked on either side of him at his comrades, who looked just as rattled and nervous as he was.
The moon beamed serene silver light on the three dragons as they awaited their cu

YES! I finally finished it. =3 Second chapter of my reader insert is here and I'm so happy about it! I think it turned out very well, actually. I hope you'll enjoy it!
This story takes place about 100 years before Twilight Princess, thus Link, Zelda and Ganondork will look a little different, but I still don't own them. I don't own you as well cause that would be weird. xD
